Privacy Policy

Lensightful is a Bible reader and reflective companion. We collect only what we need to give you your daily verse, your interpretations, and your reading history, and we keep it safe. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
Who we are
Lensightful (“we”, “us”) provides the Lensightful mobile and web app. For any privacy question, or to request a copy or deletion of your data, write to hello@lensightful.com.
Information we collect
Account information
Your email address, used to create and sign in to your account.
Your content
The notes, highlights, reflections, saved verses, and reading history you create in the app. This is yours: we store it so your library is there when you return, and so we can generate interpretations you ask for.
Usage data
How you use the app, such as which features you open, which interpretations you request, and similar product activity. We collect this through our analytics provider. We use it to understand what helps people read and to improve the experience.
Diagnostics
Crash reports and basic performance data, collected through our diagnostics provider, so we can find and fix problems. We do not include the contents of your notes in crash reports.
Device and technical data
App version, operating system, device type, and a generated identifier for your account, used to keep the service working and to tie diagnostics and analytics to a consistent (pseudonymous) profile.
How we use your information
- To provide the app: sign-in, your library, your reading history, and the verses and interpretations you request.
- To generate interpretations: your verse selection and reading context are processed to produce the interpretation you asked for (see “AI processing” below).
- To improve the product: understanding which features help, through aggregated and pseudonymous usage data.
- To keep things working and secure: diagnosing crashes, preventing abuse, and protecting accounts.
- To support you: answering messages you send us.
AI processing
When you request an interpretation, the relevant verse and reading context are sent to our interpretation service and to third-party AI providers to generate the response. This content is processed to produce your interpretation and is not used to build advertising profiles about you.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers that help us run Lensightful, each acting on our instructions:
- Cloud database and authentication: storing your account and content.
- Product analytics: understanding how the app is used.
- Crash and performance diagnostics: finding and fixing problems.
- Cloud hosting: running our interpretation service.
- AI providers: generating interpretations, as described above.
- App store and payment processing: handling in-app purchases and subscriptions (we do not receive your card details).
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks. We do not use your data to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your content. Backups and limited records may persist for a short period before they are overwritten. Diagnostic and aggregated analytics data may be retained on a rolling basis.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on our database provider. We restrict access to the people and systems that need it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights and choices
You can request a full export or deletion of your data at any time from Settings, then Profile in the app, or by writing to hello@lensightful.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or restrict how we use your data, and to object to certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
Lensightful is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
International users
We use service providers in other countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live, under appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
