The words of king Lemuel; the revelation which his mother taught him.
A Course in Miracles
Every teaching a mind receives comes from one of two sources, and here love speaks in the guise of a mother handing wisdom to a son. The gentle voice within is always maternal in its patience, asking nothing, correcting without blame, offering what will keep the mind from harm rather than commanding it.
A mind learns from whichever teacher it turns toward. When it leans into that quieter counsel, it is choosing the Voice for love over the loud insistence of fear. What passes here from parent to child is simply the reminder that guidance is available, and that listening for it is the whole of the choice a mind must make.
