1 John 4:4 · World English Bible
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
The one within you is your own imagination, and it is greater than anything the outer world can show against it. The world reports facts, circumstances, the opinions of others, and every one of them seems solid and armed.

MANIFESTATION
The one within you is your own imagination, and it is greater than anything the outer world can show against it. The world reports facts, circumstances, the opinions of others, and every one of them seems solid and armed. Yet each of them was first an inner act, an image dwelt on until it took form, so nothing outside carries a power of its own to set against you.
To overcome them is not to fight them but to stop crediting them. The moment you cease handing the outer event its authority and claim the state you desire as the one power, the report loses its hold. You are of God because you are of that inner cause, and the cause is always larger than the effect it has already thrown outward. What lives within decides; what stands in the world only echoes it back.

ESOTERIC
The newly awakened parts of a person carry more force than the whole pull of the outer senses, and this is a matter of sheer magnitude. The power seated behind the eyes, in the still chamber of the head where the divine is met face to face, outweighs everything appetite and fear press on the body from without. When the right side of the brain opens in stillness, an indestructible current rises that the world's clamor cannot match, and the sickness it loads on a person begins to loosen.
To overcome them is to cross over, raising that current up through the centers until the outer world loses its grip. What a person calls God is not a small prisoner in the skull but the light standing just outside the head, greater than any craving the senses report.
Little children: the newly awakened faculties in a person, still tender, just beginning to sense their own strength. He that is in the world: the pull of the outer senses, the appetites and fears fed to the body from without. He that is in you: the light of consciousness seated behind the eyes, met in the still chamber of the head.

CYBERNETICS
A person is told, first, where they come from. Belonging to God settles the self-image at its foundation, so the fight against outside pressure is not still to be won. It has already gone their way. The picture a person carries of themselves sits deeper than any headline, any crowd, any bad hour, and that inner picture is the larger force.
The world presses from without with its noise and its threats, and it feels enormous while a person watches it. What lives within is steadier and stronger, and it keeps working while the storm outside spends itself. When someone knows the power inside them outweighs the trouble around them, the trouble loses its grip, and they meet the day already standing.

AWARENESS
Nothing outside can overpower what is already awake within, because the world reaches only as far as the mind, and the mind is a surface phenomenon. Opinions, pressures, the whole clamor of other people's certainties, all of it lands on the personality and never touches the one watching.
Overcoming has already happened in the past tense, which means there is no battle to win, only a recognition that the enemy was borrowed. Beliefs taken from others feel enormous until a person looks directly and finds no substance in them. The greater one is not a distant power that will arrive to help; it is the awareness present right now, behind every thought, larger than every situation because it contains them.
Manifestation lens
What outer fact have you been letting outrank you?
Some things are in our hands and some are not, and nearly all our distress comes from mixing up the two. The outer event has no authority until you grant it some.
Water is the softest thing there is and it wears down stone. What looks weak against what looks solid usually wins, because solidity is not the same as power.
The one who has mastered his own mind has done more than someone who has won a thousand battles. The real contest was never outside.
