The awakening moves downward from the crown of the head into the whole body, a current of higher consciousness descending through a person rather than a figure arriving from the sky. The shout and the trumpet are the sound heard in deep stillness, the inner ring the ancients called the voice of God, felt as a vibration rising up the spine when the sleeping self stirs. The dead who rise first are the parts of a person long numbed and buried under routine and appetite; they quicken before anything else because the seed of the anointed mind lies dormant in them and answers the sound.
Heaven is the upper brain, the descent is that light and vibration pouring down through the centers, and resurrection is the buried life within coming awake at last.
Heaven: the crown and upper brain, the high place within from which awakening pours down
Trump of God: the inner sound heard in stillness, the vibration that rises the spine and rouses the sleeper
The dead in Christ: the numbed and buried faculties of a person that quicken first when consciousness stirs
