EGO & BEING
What matters is the turning of the heart, not the perfection of the form. A person may fall short of every outer requirement and still be met, because the essential thing is the inward readiness, the sincere movement of attention toward the source of life. The ego loves rules and rituals it can master, but presence asks only for openness.
Here the outer cleansing was incomplete, yet the heart was prepared, and that was enough. When you genuinely turn inward and long for what is real, the wanting itself begins to align you. You are received not because you got the ceremony right but because your attention was pointed home.

SUFISM
A king prays for worshippers who came with the wrong rituals, and the prayer exposes a common pride: the belief that clean hands are what open the door. A person can polish the outside so carefully that the turned heart is forgotten. The cure is to set the heart first, in secret, and let the seeking matter more than the spotless record.
God meets the aim, not only the arrival. He looks to where the heart is pointed, the way a spring answers whichever hand is truly cupped toward it.
Ego v. Being lens
Where am I waiting to be more presentable before I let myself begin?
The highest virtue does not announce itself with ritual. When people cling to the outer form of a thing, the living reality behind it has already slipped away.
The door of mercy is not a court of inspection. Whoever turns toward it, however unready, is already being drawn by the one who opened it.
Whoever offers even a leaf or a little water with a sincere heart, that offering is received. The gift is small, the turning toward is everything.
