2 Corinthians 1:20 Meaning For However Many Are the Promises

For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.

What does 2 Corinthians 1:20 mean?

Every promise is already answered in the one who accepts it. To say yes and amen to a desire is to take it as settled now, not to beg for it later.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Every promise is already answered in the one who accepts it. To say yes and amen to a desire is to take it as settled now, not to beg for it later. The promise waits on no clock and no outside leave. Awareness receives it as done and rests there, and in that rest it is fulfilled.

The him in whom all this happens is a man's own I am, the awareness that gives being to whatever it accepts. Nothing is granted from outside. A person confirms the promise by assuming it, and the assuming is the amen. The glory shows in the world, yet it is worked out through the one who dares to feel the wish fulfilled. What a man affirms within as accomplished is what stands revealed without.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

Every promise of the higher nature finds its yes not in some future arrangement but in the awakened center of a person, where the divine current speaks both its yes and its Amen. Amen carries the Hebrew root of firmness and truth, the confirmation that a thing is established within, and in Egypt the same sound names Amen, the hidden god of the unseen depth from which all forms rise. So affirming and sealing both happen inside the one who has come alive to this current, the promise spoken as yes in the awakening self and made firm as Amen in that same self. The glory shows through us because the divine reaches visibility only through the awakened body that carries it.

Amen: the sealing word of firmness and truth, and the hidden Egyptian god of the unseen depth from which all forms arise.

Live 2 Corinthians 1:20 today

  1. Take two minutes alone today to stop asking for the thing you want and simply say yes to it, feeling the quiet relief of already having it, then go about your day.
  2. Talk to one person about something you want as though it were settled, no pleading tone, no hedging. Say it plainly and let the conversation move on.
  3. When a decision presses on you today, choose, then stop reopening it. Let your yes stand for the rest of the afternoon instead of auditing it every twenty minutes.

What am I still begging for that I could simply accept as done?
