This closing blessing quietly opens a window onto who God is. Three are named, the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, one God in three Persons, which the Church calls the Trinity. And each is linked to a gift: grace freely given through Christ, the deep love of the Father, and the fellowship the Spirit creates among us. God is not a distant force but a communion of love that reaches out to draw us in.

That is the hope pressed into these last words. The very life shared between Father, Son, and Spirit is offered to you, to be with you all. To be a Christian is to be pulled into that circle of love and to carry it, in grace and fellowship, to everyone around you.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The Lord Jesus Christ named here is your own human imagination, the power and wisdom that made your life and now waits inside you to be found. Grace is the whole gift arriving unearned: you did nothing to deserve this creative power, and you cannot lose it. The blessing comes from no distant heaven. It is your own awareness of being turning back toward itself and recognizing what it always was.

The love of God is that same power inclined toward you, wanting your desire fulfilled as much as you do. Communion, the fellowship of the Spirit, is the inner conversation carried on until it stirs feeling, for an imagined exchange only takes hold when it moves you. When these three settle in a person, imagination, its warmth, and the felt inner talk, he stops calling on anyone outside. He speaks to himself as the one power that made his world.

Live 2 Corinthians 13:14 today

  1. Before you open anything on your phone this morning, sit still for one minute and let yourself be wanted rather than useful. Nothing to produce, nothing to fix, just being held.
  2. Send one message today that gives something away with no hook in it. No favor attached, no reply needed, just warmth passed along to someone who will not expect it.
  3. In the meeting or argument where you feel yourself hardening, remember that you are not running on your own supply. Breathe once, and answer from the generosity you have been given rather than from the shortage you feel.

Who around you would feel different today if the kindness you have received kept moving?
