namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
The mind survives on division. It sorts everyone into the wronged and the wrongdoers, keeps a ledger of every offense, and stands apart from whatever it condemns.

EGO & BEING
The mind survives on division. It sorts everyone into the wronged and the wrongdoers, keeps a ledger of every offense, and stands apart from whatever it condemns. That felt gap between self and world is the wound, and reconciliation is its closing.
Not counting the trespasses is not pretending nothing happened. To stop counting them is to stop defining a person, oneself included, by the record of the past. When someone drops the wall of judgment and senses the one life running through every face, the separation quietly heals. And the healing spreads: near a person who no longer holds the division in place, others feel the gap close too.

MANIFESTATION
God in Christ is the creative power hidden in a person's own imagination, and Christ is not a man but the way salvation unfolds from within. To reconcile the world to himself is that power drawing all things back into agreement with what a person inwardly is, so the outer scene comes to match the inner state. Trespasses go unreckoned because the past self is dropped into the formless awareness of being and left there, no longer counted.
The word of reconciliation given to a person is the knowledge that he mends the world by mending his imagining of it. He carries another back to wholeness by becoming one with him inwardly and feeling him fulfilled. Nothing is set right by force from outside. A person changes what he meets by changing the picture he holds, and the world quietly conforms to the man he has become within.
Ego v. Being lens
Who am I still holding at a distance with a record I have been quietly keeping?
Holding on to "he hurt me, she wronged me" keeps the hatred alive inside you. Lay the thought down and the hatred has nothing left to feed on.
The one who sees the same self in all beings, and all beings in that self, has no reason left to hate. Separation was the only ground hatred ever stood on.
We are all limbs of one body, so turning against another person is like a hand resenting the foot. Anger makes more sense against the error than against the human who made it.
