CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
Divine anger registers here as a convulsion in the deepest structure of things, and that tells us something about the nature of moral order. The ground beneath a person is not inert. It answers. When the highest good is betrayed, the very foundations that hold a life upright begin to give way, and a man feels the world itself turning unstable under his feet.
Wrath of this sort is the felt weight of reality pushing back against what should never have been done. A being who has offended against the order of being does not face a mild scolding. He faces the trembling of everything he stood on. Betray what is sacred and the earth loses its firmness. The solid ground you took for granted was moral all along, and it moves when you break faith with it.
Clinical Psychology lens
Where does the ground under your life feel unsteady, and what did you do that loosened it?
There is an order running through things, and whoever lives against it does not get away with it quietly. The grain of reality pushes back.
Actions are not loose events; they settle into the structure of a life and come due. Break what holds the world up and the breaking returns to you.
What harms the whole cannot leave you unharmed, because you are not outside it. To wrong the order of things is to crack the floor you stand on.
