The crown laid up is the final awakening, given by grace at the day the inner son appears and calls you Father, revealing you as God the Father Himself. Righteousness is not moral scorekeeping but rightness of state, the fruit of having fought the good fight and kept faith with the vision. The Lord who gives it is your own deeper being, and the day is the moment of resurrection within the skull, not a date in the future.
That it comes not to one only but to all who love His appearing means every person will live this literally, born and awakened within his own head. Christ is one being rising in each man, never a single figure kept in the past. To love His appearing is to long for that inner arrival rather than an outer one. The reward a person waits for is the discovery that he is the Father, known the instant the son within names him so.
