Acts 28:11 · World English Bible
After three months, we set sail in a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in the island, whose sign was “The Twin Brothers.”
The ship carrying the awakened one forward bears the twin sign, the 2 brothers who are the dual mind and the divided self, the mortal and the immortal riding together in one vessel. The body sails out of its wintering, its season of stillness and hidden growth, and moves again once the pause has done its work.

ESOTERIC
The ship carrying the awakened one forward bears the twin sign, the 2 brothers who are the dual mind and the divided self, the mortal and the immortal riding together in one vessel. The body sails out of its wintering, its season of stillness and hidden growth, and moves again once the pause has done its work. The 3 months are the settling of spirit into flesh before it can travel on.
Every person is a vessel that must winter, must go quiet and inward before the next passage, and the 2 figures at the prow are the higher and lower nature that no one leaves behind. The way forward is carried by both natures at once, not by killing one of them.
Ship of Alexandria: the body as a vessel launched from the city of learning, carrying a mind trained in old wisdom Castor and Pollux: the twin brothers, one mortal and one deathless, that are the divided self riding in every person The isle: the place of wintering and withdrawal where growth happens out of sight before the journey resumes
Esoteric lens
Which part of myself have I been trying to kill off instead of carry?
Winter and spring are one movement, and the sap that seems absent is working underground; stillness is not the opposite of going forward, it is the first part of it.
The senses are horses and the mind the reins, and the one who holds them steady arrives, while the one who lets them fight stalls on the road.
Two hands reach from the same body, the grasping one and the giving one, and the path is walked by the whole person, not by half of it hacked away.
