Coming up out of the water is the mind rising from the second stage, where truth is first grasped, into a higher band of light. The inner photon, the flash through the pineal, then lifts the awakened part of a person clean out of the range where the lower eyes can follow.

ESOTERIC
Coming up out of the water is the mind rising from the second stage, where truth is first grasped, into a higher band of light. The inner photon, the flash through the pineal, then lifts the awakened part of a person clean out of the range where the lower eyes can follow. Consciousness does not travel across a road. It shifts frequency, the way a whirling dervish spins faster and faster until the body seems to vanish from sight, still there but turning at a rate the watcher cannot hold.
One who is still looking from the old level of seeing loses the higher one from view, not because it has gone anywhere, but because it now vibrates above him. That is why the going-on ends in gladness. The journey continues at the new speed, and the joy belongs to the state, not the distance.
Water: truth, the second stage of consciousness a person enters before the light Spirit of the Lord: the photon, the inner flash of light through the pineal gland

What in you has quietly moved on already, while you were still waiting for someone to confirm it?
The way that can be pointed at is not the way itself. What is most real slips out of the grip of the looking mind, not by hiding but by being finer than the net thrown over it.
A teacher says the moon is not the finger pointing at it. The student who keeps staring at the finger reports that the moon has vanished, though nothing moved but his attention.
Rumi writes of the soul as a bird and the body as its cage. Those left watching see only the cage and call it a loss, though the bird is simply somewhere their eyes do not reach.
