EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

To say I am here with your whole being is among the most profound acts of a human life. Most people are never here. Their bodies occupy a room while their minds wander through imagined futures and remembered pasts, so when life calls, it finds no one home.

Presence answers before the mind can interfere. When you are fully in this moment, you become available to what life asks of you, and guidance comes not as a loud voice but as a quiet knowing in the stillness. Being here means being awake enough to receive what the next moment brings.

Live Acts 9:10 today

  1. For one minute today, sit with no screen and no task, just where you are, the sounds, the light, your breathing. That is the whole thing, and it is harder than it sounds.
  2. When someone starts talking to you, put the phone face down and look at them. Let them finish before you decide what you think.
  3. Before the meeting or the hard call, take one slow breath and feel your feet. Arriving before you speak changes what you find to say.

When life asked something of you recently, were you actually there to hear it?

To be truly present for one breath is already an arrival. Most of our walking is a rush toward somewhere we are not.

To answer here I am with your whole self is to offer everything you have, nothing held back in some other moment.

We are absent from our own lives, scattered through plans and regrets. To be anywhere, you have to be somewhere.
