What the daylight mind could not solve came in the night, when the will had let go and the deeper layers of the mind were free to speak. Answers often arrive this way. A person wrestles with a problem, exhausts every effort, then sleeps, and the image that comes holds what reason could not reach.
The gratitude that follows is fitting. The knowledge did not come from cleverness or force. It rose on its own from a source within that seems to know more than the waking self, and the right response to such a gift is thanks.
