Daniel 2:3 · World English Bible
The king said to them, “I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit is troubled to know the dream.”
A dream can leave a person troubled without their knowing why. The images fade by morning, yet a heaviness stays, a sense that something important passed through in the night and was not caught.

PSYCHOANALYSIS
A dream can leave a person troubled without their knowing why. The images fade by morning, yet a heaviness stays, a sense that something important passed through in the night and was not caught. That unease is itself meaningful. It shows that a message arrived from a deeper part of the mind and the waking self could not yet read it.
Such a state should not be brushed aside as mere nerves. The restlessness is the mind's own way of insisting that attention be paid. When someone feels driven to understand a dream, it is because the dream carries something they genuinely need, and the discomfort will not settle until its meaning is finally brought into the light.

What feeling have you been labeling as tired or stressed so you do not have to look any closer?
An unread dream is like an unopened letter, the Talmud teaches. The unease you wake with is the envelope still sealed.
The Masnavi opens with a reed cut from the reed bed, and says its wailing is the only reason anyone hears music. The ache of separation is what carries the meaning.
Zhuangzi refused to settle the question of whether he was a man who dreamed a butterfly or the reverse. Some unease is meant to be carried, not resolved too quickly.
