Daniel 6:10 Meaning When Daniel Knew That the Writing Was

When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his room toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.

What does Daniel 6:10 mean?

Daniel is the one who turns from the problem to dwell in the desired state, and the signed writing is the outer threat already fixed against him. Rather than face it, he goes into his house, into himself, and opens the windows of his chamber toward Jerusalem.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Daniel is the one who turns from the problem to dwell in the desired state, and the signed writing is the outer threat already fixed against him. Rather than face it, he goes into his house, into himself, and opens the windows of his chamber toward Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the inner conviction of the wish already fulfilled, so to orient toward it is to turn the whole of attention inward to the feeling of the thing accomplished.

Kneeling and giving thanks before it is done is the posture of one who has received. Thanks is possible only for what is already yours, and Daniel gives it while the lions still wait, because the state he occupies is settled and the outer decree has no author but appearance. Prayer here is simply this turning, drawing near in feeling to the fulfilled desire until the world must conform.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

Turning inward under threat, the higher mind withdraws into its own chamber and opens the windows of perception toward the center of peace within. The decree signed against him is the pressure of the outer world, and the answer is not resistance but a steady facing of the inner Jerusalem, the place of wholeness at the core of a person. The number 3, kneeling 3 times, symbolizes the union of body, soul, and spirit brought into alignment at fixed hours, so the whole self bows toward its own center.

The house is the body, and the open windows are the senses turned homeward rather than scattered outward. A person who keeps this practice under pressure stays rooted in the calm within while the world's laws rage around the walls.

House: the body a person lives inside, the dwelling of consciousness Windows: the senses, here turned inward toward the center instead of out toward the world Jerusalem: the vision of peace and wholeness at the core of a person, the inner city he faces in stillness The number 3: body, soul, and spirit brought into one alignment

SELF-HELP

Self-Help

A decision made under pressure is almost always a decision that was already made a thousand quiet times before.

Repetition drives a belief deep enough that it sets the state without being consulted. Thanksgiving offered on an ordinary morning, with nothing at stake, is where the leverage sits: the conviction that God is worth thanking sets the state, the state sets the emotion, and gratitude rather than fear drives the body to the floor on the day the law changes.

Windows left open were not defiance arranged for witnesses; they were the same windows as the week before, and that sameness is what made courage unnecessary. Skip the practice on the easy days and nothing is underneath you when the decree is signed, and that gets called a failure of nerve when it was a failure of accumulation.

Live Daniel 6:10 today

  1. When bad news lands in your inbox, close the laptop, sit somewhere with a window, and spend two minutes in the feeling of this already being resolved, before you answer anything.
  2. Thank someone today for something that has not happened yet but that you trust them with. Say it out loud and mean it.
  3. In a meeting where the decision is going against you, stop arguing in your head and quietly hold the outcome you want as already settled. Then speak from there.

What would I be thankful for right now if I knew it was already done?

Without going out the door, you can know the world. Turning inward is not retreat, it is where the knowing happens.
