What does Deuteronomy 34:1 mean?

Moses is the power in you that draws a desire up and out, and here that power climbs from Moab, your own consciousness as mother and father of every state, to Nebo, the wish itself, a height to be scaled. Pisgah is the act of contemplation, the top of that mountain, where the thing longed for is looked at fully.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Moses is the power in you that draws a desire up and out, and here that power climbs from Moab, your own consciousness as mother and father of every state, to Nebo, the wish itself, a height to be scaled. Pisgah is the act of contemplation, the top of that mountain, where the thing longed for is looked at fully. Jericho, standing across from him, is the feeling of satisfaction, the fragrant sense that the desire is met.

What is shown from that summit is the whole extent of what contemplation reaches, spread out and already possessed to the sight though not yet entered by the feet. The one who draws out the desire may see the promised state complete, held in vision from end to end. A person contemplates what he wants until it feels accomplished, and from that height the finished thing lies before him as land already surveyed.

The drawn-out one in a person, the faculty that pulls awareness up out of the flat low ground of the flesh, climbs to the highest lookout in the head and there sees the whole inner country at once. Moab is the mother-water of the body, the plains of ordinary sensation, and the ascent leaves them behind.

From the summit the entire territory of the self opens to view, from the witness in Gilead to the judging center in Dan. What is granted is full sight of the promised interior, the seeing of it from above, at the moment the lower man can go no further.

Moab: the plains of the flesh, the low watery ground of ordinary bodily sensation Mountain of Nebo: the height of prophecy in the head, the raised point where inner vision opens Pisgah: the very top of the lookout, the crown of the skull from which the whole self is surveyed Jericho: the moon-city of the senses, the fragrant lower nature seen from the height Gilead: the region of the witness, the standing testimony within a person Dan: the seat of judgment in the body, the faculty that weighs and decides

Live Deuteronomy 34:1 today

  1. Pick one thing you actually want, and instead of planning it, sit with your phone face down for five minutes and look at it as finished. Not the steps, the arrival: where you are, what the room smells like, the relief in your chest.
  2. When someone tells you about a hope of theirs today, help them see it done rather than listing what could go wrong. Ask what the good version looks like in detail, then stay there with them for a minute instead of moving to advice.
  3. In the hour where the pressure lands, the meeting, the inbox, the slow line, step back mentally to the view from the end of it. See the day already handled and let your shoulders answer to that, then go back in.

What would I be feeling right now if the thing I want had already arrived?
