Ephesians 2:8 Meaning For by Grace You Have Been Saved

for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

What does Ephesians 2:8 mean?

Rising out of the lower nature is not something the small self manufactures by effort, because the striving self is exactly what must fall silent for the higher current to move. Grace is the descent of that current from the spirit within, freely given, arriving when the grasping mind lets go rather than when it tightens its grip.

Rising out of the lower nature is not something the small self manufactures by effort, because the striving self is exactly what must fall silent for the higher current to move. Grace is the descent of that current from the spirit within, freely given, arriving when the grasping mind lets go rather than when it tightens its grip.

Faith here is the inner certainty that the divine already lives inside the body waiting to unfold, and that certainty is not a possession the personality earns and keeps. It comes from the God-self, the buried I AM at the center, so the salvation felt as one's own awakening was never the work of the outer person but the flowering of what was seeded within from the beginning.

Live Ephesians 2:8 today

  1. Take ten minutes today with no phone, no music, no goal. Do not try to get anything out of it, that trying is the part to set down.
  2. Let someone do something for you today without immediately paying it back or deflecting. Just say thank you and let it be a gift.
  3. When you hit a wall at work and keep hammering at it, step away for five minutes and stop forcing. Things loosen in the space where you stopped squeezing.

Where am I gripping so hard that I am keeping the thing away?
