Exodus 12:23 Meaning For Yahweh Will Pass Through to Strike

For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.

What does Exodus 12:23 mean?

The higher power moves through the lower mind and strikes what holds a person in bondage, yet passes over wherever the inner life force has been raised and marked upon the gateway. The blood on the lintel and posts is that life force lifted from the lower centers and set at the threshold of the head, and where it shows, the destroying energy cannot enter.

The door is the pineal gland, the opening through which light comes into the body, framed by its 2 posts. When the inner life force has risen and stained that entrance, the person is passed over and left whole, because the rising energy itself shields the house of the body from the force that unmakes the unprepared.

Blood: the inner life force, the current lifted from the lower centers and marked at the gateway Door: the pineal gland, the entrance through which light enters the body Egyptians: that which holds a person in bondage, the lower mind and its captivities Houses: the bodies of persons, the dwellings the rising force protects

Live Exodus 12:23 today

  1. Keep one small flame lit today, one line you will not cross no matter how the day goes. Choose it this morning and let the rest of the day organize itself around it.
  2. When a conversation starts dragging you down into pettiness, change the level instead of matching it. Ask a real question, or say something kind and true, and watch the whole thing pass over.
  3. In a moment of real pressure, lift your eyes from the screen, look at something far away, and breathe once all the way down. Something in you comes back up to the top of your head, and the panic cannot get through the door.

What keeps the light on in me when the day goes dark, and am I tending it or waiting for it?

Hinduism · the Upanishads

The light in a person rises through the body and shines at the crown of the head. What burns there cannot be entered by the dark.

Taoism · inner alchemy

Draw the energy up from below and let it settle in the upper palace. What has risen is protected, and what stays scattered at the bottom is at the mercy of everything.

Sufism · Rumi

Keep the lamp lit at the entrance of the heart and the thief passes by. He only works in houses where nothing is awake.
