Exodus 35:31 Meaning He Has Filled Him with the Spirit

He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship;

The maker is filled, and only then does the skill flow. Wisdom, understanding, the craft of the hands, none of it is squeezed out by trying harder.

Ego v. Being

The maker is filled, and only then does the skill flow. Wisdom, understanding, the craft of the hands, none of it is squeezed out by trying harder. Forcing yields nothing here. Each gift rises when a person becomes a clear channel, empty enough for something deeper than the thinking mind to move through them.

The finest work comes from that fullness, not from strain. When the noise inside quiets and presence takes the lead, the hands seem to know what to do on their own. What we call creation happens when a person steps aside and lets the source within do the shaping through them.

  1. On the thing you are stuck on, stop pushing for ten minutes. Make tea, walk, stare out the window with no input, and let the answer come up instead of dragging it out.
  2. In the next conversation, drop the sentence you were preparing while they talked. Listen all the way to the end with nothing queued, and let your reply surprise you.
  3. When the work is due and you are forcing it, close the extra tabs, silence the alerts, and do one thing with both hands for twenty minutes. The strain is usually the noise, not the task.

How much of my effort today was real work, and how much was just straining?
