Exodus 4:4 · World English Bible

Exodus 4:4 Meaning Yahweh Said to Moses

Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail.” He stretched out his hand, and took hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand.

What does Exodus 4:4 mean?

The coiled life-force that lies at the base of the body, dreaded while it moves untamed like a serpent along the ground, is grasped at its very root and rises as a staff of power in the hand of the awakened self. To take the serpent by the tail is to seize that lower energy where it begins, to lay hold of the base current instead of fleeing it.

Esoteric

The coiled life-force that lies at the base of the body, dreaded while it moves untamed like a serpent along the ground, is grasped at its very root and rises as a staff of power in the hand of the awakened self. To take the serpent by the tail is to seize that lower energy where it begins, to lay hold of the base current instead of fleeing it. Once caught and held, the crawling power straightens into the rod, the upright staff of authority running the length of the spine. The same force that terrified a person as long as it slid loose becomes, when grasped and lifted, the instrument through which the inner will now works.

Serpent: the coiled life-force at the base of the body, feared while it moves untamed along the ground. Tail: the root, the lowest point where the serpent-power begins and where it must be seized. Rod: the upright staff of authority, the raised spinal current the lifted life-force becomes in the hand of the awakened self.

  1. The next time an urge pulls at you, reaching for the phone, the fridge, the scroll, catch it at the very start rather than halfway through. Caught early, it is easy to redirect.
  2. When a conversation starts heating up, take hold of the feeling instead of letting it run the sentence. Say what is true in a steady voice and watch how the same energy becomes clarity.
  3. Before a hard call or a meeting you dread, let the nerves be fuel instead of a reason to stall. Keep your hand on it and walk in.

Which feeling have you been running from that you could pick up instead?

The practice does not kill desire, it takes hold of it at the root and turns it upward. The same current that scatters a person is the one that lifts them.

What looks like poison becomes medicine when it is faced and worked with rather than fled. Nothing new is added, the energy is simply held.
