Ezekiel 12:25 Meaning For I Am Yahweh

For I am Yahweh. I will speak, and the word that I speak will be performed. It will be no more deferred; for in your days, rebellious house, I will speak the word, and will perform it,” says the Lord Yahweh.’

Ego v. Being

The endless postponing is over. What is spoken will happen, and it will happen now, not in some far-off day the mind keeps promising itself. The word and its fulfillment fall together, in these days, in this life.

So much of a person's living gets pushed into a later that never arrives. The rebellious mind is the one that keeps saying not yet, waiting for conditions to be perfect. When someone finally meets what is here, the gap between the word and the deed closes. Life stops being delayed. Life gets lived in the present, the only place it was ever going to arrive.

Live Ezekiel 12:25 today

  1. Pick the one thing you have been moving down your list for weeks and do it in the next ten minutes, badly if necessary. The relief will surprise you.
  2. Make the call or send the message you keep meaning to send to someone. Not a draft in your head, an actual message, today.
  3. When you catch yourself thinking "I will be present once this week is over," stop and be present in the middle of the mess instead. This is the week you get.

What have I been waiting for permission to start?

Zen

The only moment you can ever enter is this one. Tomorrow is a thought, and no one has ever lived inside a thought.

Stoicism · Seneca

While we postpone, life rushes past. Everything we have is on loan, and the one thing we can lose entirely is the time we keep saving for later.

Hinduism · Bhagavad Gita

Act now, in this situation, with what is in your hands. Waiting for perfect conditions is its own kind of inaction.
