Ezekiel 39:17 Meaning You

You, son of man, the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Speak to the birds of every sort, and to every animal of the field, “Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat meat and drink blood.

Clinical Psychology

When tyranny finally breaks, the chaos it held at bay comes back to feast on the wreckage. The birds and the beasts are summoned to the fallen, and the predatory disorder that pride kept out returns to consume what defied the proper order. Reality devours whatever sets itself against reality. The scavengers only close the account.

The scene is deliberately terrible because its consequence is terrible. A power that grows monstrous invites its own dismemberment, and the feast on the mountains is the visible end of that arrogance. Corruption is eaten from within and then picked clean. Build your strength on a lie long enough, and the wild things gather where you fall.

  1. Look honestly at one story you tell about yourself that is slightly bigger than the facts, in your résumé, your bio, your head. Shrink it back down to what is true, before somebody else does it for you.
  2. Ask someone who knows you well what you are worse at than you think you are. Thank them, then stay quiet long enough to actually hear the answer.
  3. When you get caught in something, a mistake at work, a wrong number, a promise you cannot keep, say so the same day instead of propping it up. Small corrections cost little, and the covering up is what grows teeth.

What are you holding up with effort that would be lighter if you just let it be true?
