Ezekiel 9:3 Meaning The Glory of the God of Israel

The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house; and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn by his side.

What does Ezekiel 9:3 mean?

Israel opens into Isis the spirit, Ra the mind, and El the God within, so the glory of that God is the light of the whole inner being rising from its seat toward the threshold of the house, which is the doorway of the self. The man clothed in linen is the faculty wrapped in wisdom and truth, and the inkhorn at his side is the power to record, the marking-out of what will be spared within the person.

The movement to the threshold is awareness gathering at the edge of its own dwelling before the marking begins.

What plays as a temple vision is the inner light shifting within the house of the self and calling on the truth-clad faculty to write. The house is the person, and the one summoned is the wisdom that sets its seal on what belongs to the spirit.

Israel: Isis the spirit, Ra the mind, and El the God within, the whole inner being House: yourself, the dwelling of the self through which the light moves Threshold: the doorway of the self where awareness gathers before the marking The man: the mind, the faculty summoned within Linen: wisdom and truth, the garment of the faculty that records

Live Ezekiel 9:3 today

  1. Sit in your doorway or by a window for two minutes before you leave for the day and let yourself be fully here before you are anywhere else. No phone, no plan, just the threshold.
  2. Write one short message to someone telling them exactly what you value in them, naming it specifically. Saying it out loud is how you keep it.
  3. In a meeting or a crowded line, pick one true thing about the moment and hold it quietly: the light, a voice, your own breathing. Let that be your footing while everything moves.

What in me is worth marking and keeping, whatever else goes?
