Ezra 1:11 · World English Bible
All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought all these up when the captives were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
The vessels of gold and silver are the faculties of a person, the higher wisdom and the reflected understanding, carried out of bondage and restored to their rightful place. Babylon is the state of confusion and scattered thought where these powers were held captive, and Jerusalem is the center of peace within to which they are returned.

ESOTERIC
The vessels of gold and silver are the faculties of a person, the higher wisdom and the reflected understanding, carried out of bondage and restored to their rightful place. Babylon is the state of confusion and scattered thought where these powers were held captive, and Jerusalem is the center of peace within to which they are returned.
The bringing up is the whole ascent of consciousness reclaiming what confusion had seized, gold and silver together naming the 2 grades of inner light, the direct knowing and its cooler reflection. What reads as a caravan of temple treasure moving between cities is the recovery of a person's own powers, drawn up out of scattered captivity and set back in the inner sanctuary where they belong.
Vessels of gold: the faculties of higher wisdom and direct spiritual knowing within a person Vessels of silver: the reflected understanding, the cooler light of the mind that mirrors the higher Babylon: the state of confusion and scattered thought that holds a person's powers captive Jerusalem: the center of peace within, the inner sanctuary where the reclaimed faculties are restored
