CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
The burden is named, and then it is set squarely on one man. This matter belongeth unto thee. Not to the crowd, not to some official elsewhere, not to a later generation that will sort it out. The rupture is his to repair, and the others can stand beside him, but they cannot stand in his place.
Courage is commanded here as though it were a choice, because it is one. Arise, be of good strength, and do the thing. A person waits for the feeling of readiness that never comes, when what is required is the act performed before the fear has lifted. Responsibility falls on the individual who happens to be standing where the problem is. Pick it up, because it is yours, and begin.

SELF-HELP
Agreement feels like change and costs nothing, so resolve has to be spent on an act before the moment cools.
Handing a person ownership of a problem changes their physiology before it changes their plan, because what belongs to everybody paralyzes everybody and what belongs to one person can be moved. Ownership sets the state, the state makes courage available, and courage discharged inside the hour becomes an identity instead of a mood.
Standing with him closes the exit. A room of witnesses prices retreat higher than reform, which is what a hard decision needs to survive the night. Nobody leaves that site holding the matter as a conviction, because conviction unspent decays into intention, and intention decays into a story about the year somebody almost did the difficult thing.
Clinical Psychology lens
What is yours right now that you have been hoping somebody else would handle?
The journey of a thousand miles starts under your own foot. Not with the plan, not with the right conditions, with the step.
Arjuna wants to put the bow down and walk off the field, and he is told to stand up and do the work in front of him. The duty does not become someone else's because it is heavy.
If I am not for myself, who will be? And if not now, when? The waiting is itself an answer, and not a good one.
