Ezra 4:3 Meaning But Zerubbabel

But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the heads of fathers’ households of Israel, said to them, “You have nothing to do with us in building a house to our God; but we ourselves together will build to Yahweh, the God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.”

What does Ezra 4:3 mean?

The temple is the head, the house not made with hands, and the command to raise it comes from Cyrus, the foreign Persian power, not from the church and not from any priest. What is ordered built is the inner room of the skull where God is met face to face.

The temple is the head, the house not made with hands, and the command to raise it comes from Cyrus, the foreign Persian power, not from the church and not from any priest. What is ordered built is the inner room of the skull where God is met face to face. Israel opens as Isis, Ra and El, spirit and mind and the god within, the 3 that do the work together.

The honest history sits underneath the code: the temple was built at the word of a foreign king under a Persian faith, and the law itself traces back to Ezra working under that same authority, not to the story religion tells. The house each person raises is his own head, and no outside builder can be given a share in it.

Cyrus: the outer Persian power whose command stands behind the scriptures, the foreign authority religion forgets House: yourself, the body and head being built up from within Israel: Isis plus Ra plus El, spirit and mind and the god within working as one

Live Ezra 4:3 today

  1. Do one inner thing today with no witness and no post about it: a quiet walk, a prayer in the car, five honest minutes with yourself. No one has to see it for it to be real.
  2. When someone offers to decide your inner life for you, a confident friend, a loud podcast, a comment thread, hear them out and keep the final say yourself. Take the good and leave the ownership where it belongs.
  3. Under pressure at work, when everyone around you is panicking, go quiet for a moment and check what you actually think. The steadiest room in the building is the one between your ears, if you will go in there.

Who have you been letting build in a place only you are meant to build?

By yourself the work is done, by yourself it is left undone. No one else walks the path for you, teachers only point at it.
