Galatians 3:2 Meaning I Just Want to Learn This From

I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

What does Galatians 3:2 mean?

Two ways of getting are set side by side, and only one of them works. The works of the law are effort, striving, trying to earn a thing by what your hands do and your circumstances allow.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Two ways of getting are set side by side, and only one of them works. The works of the law are effort, striving, trying to earn a thing by what your hands do and your circumstances allow. The hearing of faith is inner acceptance, the moment you hear that the wish is granted and believe it before a single sign appears. Spirit is received the second way and never the first.

To hear with faith is to identify with what you have accepted until you forget you ever assumed it. You do not wrestle the state into being by labor. You take it up by consenting to it, mentally claiming the fulfilled condition and walking as though it already happened. Persist in the assumption that you are what you want to be, and you become it.

Live Galatians 3:2 today

  1. Tonight, before sleep, spend three minutes feeling one good thing as already true for you. Not planning it, not asking for it, just living in the feeling of it being done.
  2. When a friend asks how a hope of yours is going, answer calmly as though it is on its way, and leave out the worry and the hustle. Say it like a settled fact.
  3. On a day when you want to grind harder because a result has not shown up yet, do the ordinary next thing with ease and stop there. The extra pushing is fear, not progress.

Am I trying to earn what I have not yet accepted?

Taoism · Tao Te Ching 48

The way is reached by letting go, not by piling on. Doing less and less, nothing is left undone.

Zen

A student asked how to attain the way and was told that trying to grasp it is exactly what pushes it away. The water is clearest when you stop stirring it.

Bhagavad Gita 2

Act without grasping at the fruit. The clutching is what exhausts you, not the work.
