Galatians 4:13 Meaning But You Know That Because of Weakness

but you know that because of weakness in the flesh I preached the Good News to you the first time.

What does Galatians 4:13 mean?

What a person calls an interruption is frequently the exact occasion that produced the best thing they built. Sickness either stops a man or relocates him, and which one happens is decided by what he believes the sickness is for.

What a person calls an interruption is frequently the exact occasion that produced the best thing they built.

Sickness either stops a man or relocates him, and which one happens is decided by what he believes the sickness is for. That belief sets the state he works from, the state sets what he will attempt while weak, and those attempts become the record of his life.

Crediting a weakness with the outcome it occasioned is bookkeeping rather than consolation, and it frees a man to keep preaching the Good News on days his body offers him no reason to. A man who waits for his health before he acts forfeits the work only the bad season would have produced.

Live Galatians 4:13 today

  1. Think of one hard stretch you would cut out of your life if you could, and name one real thing you have now because of it. Write it down somewhere you will see it again.
  2. On a day when you feel below your usual self, show up for the person who expects you anyway, the call, the dinner, the walk. Being there tired is often worth more than being there sharp.
  3. When a plan breaks today, a cancellation, a delay, a traffic jam, ask what this opening is actually good for before you spend it on frustration.

What has a hard season in my life quietly given me that I have never credited?
