Genesis 13:15 · World English Bible
for I will give all the land which you see to you and to your offspring forever.
The gift was measured by the seeing. All the land he could take in with his eyes would be given, so the reach of the vision set the size of the promise.

CYBERNETICS
The gift was measured by the seeing. All the land he could take in with his eyes would be given, so the reach of the vision set the size of the promise. The imagination keeps a quiet arithmetic: what a person can clearly picture marks the outer edge of what his creative mechanism can move him toward.
Held before the mind long enough, an image does not stay a private wish; it becomes the working blueprint the deeper self builds from. A person who lets himself picture wide is enlarging the ground his future can stand on. The promise waits on the picture, and a larger view opens a larger life for him and for those who come after.

SELF-HELP
What a person is willing to look at sets the outer edge of what they can be given.
Attention functions as a supply line, and the inheritance runs along it: the lifted eye sets the frame, the frame sets what a man believes is available, the belief sets his state, and the state decides whether he moves through that country or camps at its near edge.
God measures the gift by the looking, which is why it arrives for a man who had just handed away the better watered ground. What he released stopped taking up room in his field of view, and a released thing stops drawing energy. Keep the eyes down on the parcel someone else chose, and a man inherits the size of his grievance instead of the size of the land.
Cybernetics lens
Have you quietly shrunk what you ask for, and when did that happen?
Mind precedes all things. What a person pictures with steadiness becomes the ground his actions walk on.
Hold the mind on one chosen image long enough and it stops being a thought and starts being a shape your life takes. Scattered attention builds nothing.
The great bird rises high because it sees far, and it sees far because it rises. Vision and reach grow into each other.
