CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Love corrects the fear of barrenness by refusing the substitute. What carries the mind forward will not be the borrowed thought, the hired stand-in the mind was ready to accept out of despair. The true inheritance rises from within, from the mind's own depth, because what belongs to it must be born of it.

Here is the promise that the mind is not empty after all. The ego offers a stranger to inherit its house, but love answers that only what issues from the mind's own being can be its heir. Whatever the mind will truly become extends from itself, and no convenient substitute can take its place.

The steward disowned: the borrowed substitute the fearful mind was ready to accept, now refused as the true heir. That which comes forth from within: the mind's own genuine extension, the increase born of itself rather than borrowed from without.

The true self is not adopted from outside; it is reborn from within. The bowels are the inner depth where the sun is reborn at the turning of the year, the place of resurrection where the buried self rises again, and the promised heir comes forth from there and nowhere else. No borrowed successor, no outward law or inherited authority, can stand in for what must be generated inside a person's own consciousness. The Christ awareness is born within, the way the melchisedek priesthood arises inside and replaces the outer tithe.

What a person is waiting for is already forming in the inner depths. The heir is the Christ consciousness rising from within, not an outsider brought in to fill the place.

Bowels: the inner depth where the sun is reborn at the winter turning, the place of resurrection where the buried self rises again Heir: the Christ consciousness born from within a person's own being, not adopted or inherited from outside

Live Genesis 15:4 today

  1. Look at the plan you have been settling for because it seemed easier than wanting the real thing. Spend ten minutes writing down what you would actually want if a substitute were off the table.
  2. When someone offers you a shortcut that is not quite yours, tell them honestly that it is not the one. Saying no to a borrowed answer is how you leave room for your own.
  3. In the meeting where you were about to repeat someone else's idea because it is safer, say the thing you actually think. Your own half-formed version is worth more than a polished copy.

Where have I accepted a stand-in because I stopped believing anything of my own would come?

Bhagavad Gita 3

It is better to do your own work imperfectly than to do someone else's work well. What comes out of your own nature is the only thing that can really carry you.
