A generative power drowned in intoxication produces offspring in the dark, without awareness on the part of the one who begets. The daughters of Lot, whose name carries the sense of a veil or covering, are the lower faculties that survive the ruin of the cities and seek to continue the line by their own devising.

Wine here is the numbing flush that steeps consciousness until the higher mind perceives neither the lying down nor the rising. The firstborn, the earliest and most insistent drive, acts while the reasoning father sleeps.
What is conceived in a person during such clouded nights comes from the lower nature working while the ruling mind is put to sleep, so that its own increase is made without knowing and without consent.
Wine: the numbing flush that steeps consciousness until the ruling mind perceives nothing Night: the state of darkened awareness in a person where the higher faculties are asleep Firstborn: the earliest and most insistent lower drive, acting first while reason is unconscious

What do I let happen in me when I stop paying attention?
One training is to leave alone what clouds the mind, because every other intention you hold gets harder to keep when awareness goes dim.
When the ruling part of you is dulled, impressions walk straight in and become actions. Keep the gatekeeper awake and you still get to choose.
The senses, left to run on their own, carry a person off like wind takes a boat with no one at the rudder.
