CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

An old belief has passed, and the grief for it is real while it lasts, yet the mind is not left empty. What is loved and welcomed inward takes the place the loss had held, and the ache gives way to comfort. Nothing that is true is lost when a false thing ends.

This is how healing feels from inside. A mind lets go of what it once leaned on, receives love into the same inner room, and finds itself consoled, not because it forgot the grief but because love filled the space the grief had emptied.

Isaac: the mind that has quieted and can now receive, the self ready to be comforted Rebekah: the love welcomed inward, the presence taken into the heart's own dwelling Sarah's tent: the inner room a departed belief once filled, now made ready for love Sarah: the old belief that has passed, the leaning-place the mind must release

Live Genesis 24:67 today

  1. Let yourself miss something today without rushing to fix the feeling. Sit with it for a few minutes, then do one small warm thing for yourself.
  2. Spend real time with someone who is present in your life now rather than only remembering the person who is not. Call them, eat with them, go nowhere in particular.
  3. When a change at work or home takes away something you leaned on, stop bracing for the emptiness. Put something good in that space on purpose, even something small.

What am I keeping empty out of loyalty to what is gone?

The usefulness of a room is in its emptiness. What is hollow is what can hold.
