Genesis 24:8 Meaning If the Woman Isn’t Willing to Follow
If the woman isn’t willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this oath to me. Only you shall not bring my son there again.

Genesis 24:8 · World English Bible
If the woman isn’t willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this oath to me. Only you shall not bring my son there again.
Even the mind's holy leading honors freedom, for joining that is forced is not joining at all. If the one sought will not come willingly, no one is bound and no failure is charged, because love never compels and lays no guilt on the messenger who tried.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Even the mind's holy leading honors freedom, for joining that is forced is not joining at all. If the one sought will not come willingly, no one is bound and no failure is charged, because love never compels and lays no guilt on the messenger who tried. The single thing forbidden is the retreat backward, the carrying of the promise into the old bondage. Willingness must be waited for; it cannot be seized.
The correction never drags. It waits at the threshold of another's readiness and asks nothing that is not given freely. What matters is only that the beloved thought is not returned to fear, for the way home stays open however long willingness takes to arrive.
The woman: the part of the mind whose readiness cannot be forced, the completion that must come by its own consent Thee: the faithful servant of the mind, the thought sent to seek joining without compelling it My son: the beloved self held safe from the old bondage, the promise that must never be led backward into fear
Christian Psychology lens
Whose readiness am I trying to force, and what would it feel like to simply wait?
Water gets everywhere by never forcing anything. It waits, it yields, and it arrives.
You cannot pull the flower open and call it blooming. Readiness has its own clock and it is not yours to set.
Some things are yours and some are not, and another person's willingness is firmly in the second group. Peace begins the moment you stop trying to move what you were never given to move.
