The fear of being abandoned is the ego's oldest lie, and here it meets the plain answer that love goes wherever the mind goes and never once departs. A mind may wander through every fearful place it invents, yet the companion within does not stay behind.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The fear of being abandoned is the ego's oldest lie, and here it meets the plain answer that love goes wherever the mind goes and never once departs. A mind may wander through every fearful place it invents, yet the companion within does not stay behind. It travels every mile of the imagined journey.
No place the mind can reach is outside this keeping. The promise to bring it home is not a hope held for later but a certainty already fulfilled in the One who makes it, waiting only to be believed.
Places: the many fearful situations the wandering mind invents, none of them beyond the reach of the love that accompanies it Land: the state of remembered wholeness, the home the mind is certain to return to because it never truly left

EGO & BEING
There is a presence that goes wherever you go. It is not something you reach or earn; it is the awareness looking out through your eyes right now, the silent 'I Am' beneath every thought. The mind wanders into imagined futures and remembered pasts, yet this presence never departs.
Wherever your outer journey takes you, into strange places or back to familiar ground, that inner ground remains. It keeps you not by controlling what happens but by being the still awareness in which everything happens. When you notice it, you feel held, because what you truly are was never absent.

Where has your mind gone lately that you assumed you had to go by yourself?
The Tao is described as everywhere, going out and returning without ever being lost, so that nothing can travel beyond it. Wherever you move, you are still inside what holds you.
Rumi writes that the one you are searching for is the one who is searching, and that the lover never travels without the beloved. The long journey is made in the company of what you thought you had to go find.
The Self is said to dwell in the heart and to be the same Self dwelling in all places at once, so the traveler and the destination are one. There is no distance to cross, only a recognition to arrive at.
