Genesis 29:25 Meaning In the Morning
In the morning, behold, it was Leah! He said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Didn’t I serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?”

Genesis 29:25 · World English Bible
In the morning, behold, it was Leah! He said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Didn’t I serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?”
Morning here is the harsh awakening to what fear has substituted for what was longed for. A mind that labored for one thing wakes to find another in its place, and its first move is to accuse, to throw the whole betrayal outward onto the one who tricked it.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Morning here is the harsh awakening to what fear has substituted for what was longed for. A mind that labored for one thing wakes to find another in its place, and its first move is to accuse, to throw the whole betrayal outward onto the one who tricked it.
Yet the deception it rages against is the ego's own confusion of what is real with what is counterfeit, seen in a mirror. The accusation feels justified, but the correction is not to punish the deceiver. It is to learn to tell the loved thing from its imitation, so the mind is no longer fooled by what fear dresses up in the morning light.
Leah: the substitute the mind wakes to find, what fear offers in the place of what was truly desired Laban: the deceiving self within, the ego that trades the counterfeit for the real and leaves the mind feeling wronged
Christian Psychology lens
What have you been angry at someone for handing you, when the real work is learning to tell it apart from what you wanted?
Suffering comes from mistaking a thing for what it is not, and the way out is clear seeing rather than blaming whoever handed it to you. The craving itself did half the work of the deception.
It is not the event that wounds us but the judgment we attach to it. Rage at the deceiver keeps us busy while the real correction, our own mistaken estimate, goes untouched.
When the real and the false are confused, the trouble is in the eye, not in the world. The sage returns to simple seeing instead of arguing with appearances.
