The part of the mind judged unwanted and pushed aside is exactly the part love turns toward first. Where fear withholds its regard, love supplies what is lacking, so that the rejected one becomes fruitful and the favored one waits.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The part of the mind judged unwanted and pushed aside is exactly the part love turns toward first. Where fear withholds its regard, love supplies what is lacking, so that the rejected one becomes fruitful and the favored one waits.
This reverses the ego's whole scheme of preference. Fear ranks and hates, dividing the mind into the loved and the despised, but love overlooks the hatred entirely and gives to the one condemned. Nothing in the mind is finally abandoned, for what fear casts out, love gathers in and makes whole.
Leah: the part of the mind fear has despised and set aside, the rejected one that love turns toward and makes fruitful Rachel: the favored thought that must wait, shown that fear's preference does not decide where love bestows its gift Womb: the mind's capacity to bring forth, opened by love in the very place that had been counted worthless
Christian Psychology lens
Who, or what part of yourself, have you set aside as not worth your warmth?
The way favors what the world has passed over, the low ground where all the water gathers. What people rank last is often where life actually collects.
Kindness is trained by sending it first to what you would rather turn away from, including in yourself. The part you have exiled is the part the practice is for.
The wound is where the light enters. What you have judged as the flawed, unwanted piece of your life is the opening, not the obstacle.
