Whatever a person keeps in front of the eye during the moments that matter shows up in what they produce.
Outcomes take orders from inputs, and the input under a person's hand is what stands in front of the eye while the outcome is still forming. Intentions get made once; what the eye meets remakes the decision every hour. That is where Jacob put the work, into the trough and the timing, rather than into wishing over the flock.
What the eye takes in sets the state a body works from, the state sets what that body makes, and what it makes across enough seasons becomes wealth without ever announcing itself as a choice. A person who leaves his surroundings untouched and then blames his outcomes on luck is paying for the one thing he could have arranged and did not.
