Genesis 4:11 Meaning Now You Are Cursed Because
Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Genesis 4:11 · World English Bible
Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
A mind that has attacked its brother believes at once that the ground itself now turns against it. This is guilt learning to speak.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A mind that has attacked its brother believes at once that the ground itself now turns against it. This is guilt learning to speak. Having struck outward, the mind cannot rest, and so it dreams a world that has drunk the harm and will demand payment. Yet nothing outside was ever wounded, for the brother is the self, and the blood cried up is only the mind's own accusation returning to its ears.
What feels like a curse laid on from without is the sentence the mind has passed on itself and forgotten it wrote. The correction is to see that no real death was dealt, only a figure in a dream, and the guilt can be set down.
Earth: the mind's own field, the ground of thought that seems to accuse from outside but only reflects back what was placed in it. Brother's blood: the harm the mind believes it has truly done to another, the evidence of a wound that in truth was never real.
Christian Psychology lens
What punishment am I waiting for that nobody is actually planning?
The world you move through is built out of the mind you bring to it. A bitter mind finds a bitter world waiting everywhere it looks.
Nothing outside you has the power to sentence you. The verdict you feel pressing in is one you handed down yourself.
The self can be its own best friend or its own worst enemy. Whichever one you choose to be, you will meet that face everywhere.
