Genesis 4:26 · World English Bible
A son was also born to Seth, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began to call on Yahweh’s name.
Enos means mortal man, the fragile creature who wears out and dies, and his birth marks the moment consciousness knows itself as breakable and begins to reach past that for something that does not perish. That reaching is what it means that men began to call upon the name of the Lord.
From the Manifestation reading below.
The same verse, read by one tradition.

MANIFESTATION
Enos means mortal man, the fragile creature who wears out and dies, and his birth marks the moment consciousness knows itself as breakable and begins to reach past that for something that does not perish. That reaching is what it means that men began to call upon the name of the Lord. It is not the start of religion. It is awareness discovering the one name behind all names.
To call upon the name of the Lord is to call with I AM, your own sense of being, because that is the only name God ever answers to. A person does not petition a power in the sky. He assumes the feeling of the thing he wants, saying inwardly I am that, and bathes in it as though it were already so. The mortal man, knowing his weakness, learns the single strength there is: naming himself into the state he desires and resting there until it becomes his life.
Manifestation lens
What would I say I am, if I said it as if it were already true?
Trace every thought back to the one who is thinking it, and you arrive at the simple sense of I am. That is the only name worth calling on.
The seeker spends years calling out to God and finally hears that the calling itself was the answer, spoken from inside.
The fragile body will wear out, so take your stand in the part of you that does not. Weakness known honestly is what sends a person looking for the real strength.
