Genesis 43:3 Meaning Judah Spoke to Him

Judah spoke to him, saying, “The man solemnly warned us, saying, ‘You shall not see my face, unless your brother is with you.’

What does Genesis 43:3 mean?

No part of the self may look upon the hidden ruler within until the whole is brought together, and this is the law the concealed governor lays down. Judah, whose name means praise, is the faculty of the lifted heart that speaks the terms plainly to the aging mind.

Esoteric

No part of the self may look upon the hidden ruler within until the whole is brought together, and this is the law the concealed governor lays down. Judah, whose name means praise, is the faculty of the lifted heart that speaks the terms plainly to the aging mind. The man in Egypt is the buried higher self hidden inside the body's dark land, unrecognized by the very faculties that are his own kin, and he will not show his face while one brother is withheld.

To see the face is to gain direct sight of that inner ruler, and the condition is completeness: the scattered powers of a person cannot behold their own source until the last withheld one is carried down with them. Recognition waits on the gathering of all.

Judah: the faculty of praise, the lifted heart that speaks the plain terms of the inner law Egypt: the body's dark land where the higher self stands hidden among his own unknowing powers

Live Genesis 43:3 today

  1. Ask yourself what you leave out when you pray, journal, or think honestly: the anger, the doubt, the embarrassing want. Bring that into the room today instead of keeping it outside.
  2. With someone you trust, say the part of the story you usually edit out. The whole thing, not the version that makes you look fine.
  3. In a meeting or a hard talk, stop managing which version of yourself shows up. Say the thing you actually think, warmly and plainly.

Which part of me am I still keeping out of the room?

You cannot see your own face while you are holding part of yourself back. Come whole or do not come at all.

The scattered mind sees nothing clearly. Gathered into one, it sees the source it came from.

Judaism · Mishnah Berakhot

With all your heart means with both of your inclinations, the willing one and the one that resists. Nothing less is the whole of you.
