Genesis 9:14 · World English Bible
When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,
When the unseen Spirit moves over the mind, the full spectrum of a person's powers appears within that very presence. The cloud is not gloom but the higher consciousness overshadowing the earthbound mind, the right side activated and hovering, and inside that living presence the bow shows itself.

ESOTERIC
When the unseen Spirit moves over the mind, the full spectrum of a person's powers appears within that very presence. The cloud is not gloom but the higher consciousness overshadowing the earthbound mind, the right side activated and hovering, and inside that living presence the bow shows itself. The bow is the arc of 7 colors, the 7 chakras, the white light of spirit broken by the crystal of the body into its separate powers along the spine. So the coming of the Spirit and the shining of the inner rainbow are one event: where the unseen presence gathers over you, the colored ladder of your centers becomes visible. The sign is not set in the sky but in the awakening body.
The rising of the Spirit over the mind is what makes the whole colored range of a person's inner centers light up.
Cloud: the unseen Spirit, the higher consciousness overshadowing the mind, the right hemisphere activated Bow: the arc of 7 colors, the 7 chakras, the white light of spirit split by the body into its full spectrum Earth: the mind in its ordinary, body-bound state over which the Spirit rises
Esoteric lens
When something larger moves over my life, do I brace against the cloud, or watch for what it lights up in me?
The tradition describes energy centers along the spine, each with its own light, waking in order as awareness rises. The whole range lights up only when something higher moves through.
Sufi teachers map several subtle centers in the body, each one coming alive as the divine presence settles over a person. The presence comes first, the centers answer.
The great way is dim and hard to see, yet inside that dimness the forms appear. What looks like a cloud is where everything becomes visible.
