Hebrews 11:3 Meaning By Faith

By faith, we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible.

What does Hebrews 11:3 mean?

Faith here is not belief about distant matters but the knowledge of how creation works. The worlds are framed by the word, and the word is the inner assumption a person speaks in feeling, the state he accepts as settled.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Faith here is not belief about distant matters but the knowledge of how creation works. The worlds are framed by the word, and the word is the inner assumption a person speaks in feeling, the state he accepts as settled. What is seen was not built from other seen things. It was formed from the unseen, from imagination, which is the one substance behind every visible fact. A mood becomes a circumstance later. The house, the meeting, the outcome all begin as an inner conviction wearing the feeling of the wish fulfilled. Behind everything solid stands an assumption that was once only imagined and then allowed to harden into the world.

SUFISM

Sufism

Everything a person can point to was spoken into being out of what no eye could see. The visible world is not the source of itself; it is the surface where an unseen Word became showable, the way a thought becomes a spoken sentence anyone can hear. To grasp this takes faith, because the mind wants to build reality only from what it can already touch.

Here the fault is quieter than a sin: it is the pride of the eyes, trusting only the seen and forgetting the Speaker behind it. The cure is a humbler looking. When a person meets a tree, a face, a morning, he can read each as a word still being spoken, and remember that the Hidden Treasure chose to be known through exactly these visible things.

Live Hebrews 11:3 today

  1. Before you touch your phone in the morning, choose the mood you want to work from and hold it for one quiet minute. That mood will be furnishing your whole day whether you choose it or not.
  2. Walk into one conversation today having already decided it goes well, and see how much of its weather you were carrying in.
  3. In traffic or a slow line, catch the mood you have slipped into and swap it deliberately, the way you would change a song. The circumstances are downstream of it.

What have you been building today out of, without meaning to?

The clay is useful because of the emptiness inside it. The unseen hollow is what makes the visible pot a pot at all.
