Hebrews 12:22 · World English Bible
But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,
The high ground of consciousness has been reached inside a person, the elevated place in the head where awareness rises above the plain of ordinary reaction. Sion is that summit of the awakened self, and the heavenly Jerusalem is the settled seat of peace built within, the inner city whose name carries wholeness.

ESOTERIC
The high ground of consciousness has been reached inside a person, the elevated place in the head where awareness rises above the plain of ordinary reaction. Sion is that summit of the awakened self, and the heavenly Jerusalem is the settled seat of peace built within, the inner city whose name carries wholeness. To arrive there is to stand in the raised state of mind where the countless energies of the body, the messengers that carry life through nerve and thought, gather as one company.
Coming to the mountain and the city is the ascent of attention to its own crown, where a person finds the living center that religion has projected far off into the sky.
Mount Sion: the raised summit of consciousness in the head, awareness lifted above the flatland of reaction Jerusalem: the inner seat of peace and wholeness built within a person, the settled city of the awakened self Angels: the countless messenger energies moving through the body, currents of life and thought carrying the signal within

What would today look like from a little higher up than where you are standing in it?
The great bird rises until the blue of the sky is beneath it, and from there the arguments of the small creatures below are one haze. Height does not change the world, it changes the size of what seemed enormous.
Step back and look at human affairs from above, and the crowds and quarrels shrink into proportion. The mind can go up to that view any time it chooses.
The wise one stands on the high ground of clear seeing and looks down at the people still running on the plain, the way someone on a mountain watches the valley.
