Hebrews 3:6 Meaning But Christ Is Faithful as a Son

but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

What does Hebrews 3:6 mean?

The house is the body, the temple of flesh in which the whole drama unfolds, and Christ set as son over his own house is the higher self ruling from the crown over every room and organ below it. To be that house is to become the dwelling the divine self governs, the body wired and held so that the light in the head commands the members.

Esoteric

The house is the body, the temple of flesh in which the whole drama unfolds, and Christ set as son over his own house is the higher self ruling from the crown over every room and organ below it. To be that house is to become the dwelling the divine self governs, the body wired and held so that the light in the head commands the members. Holding fast the confidence firm unto the end is the steady keeping of attention on that inner light, the refusal to let consciousness slip back down into the lower rooms and lose the ruler seated above.

What is described is a body governed from the top. When a person keeps the higher self enthroned in the crown, the whole house of the body stays ordered under it, each part serving the light that rules the head.

Live Hebrews 3:6 today

  1. Pick one anchor today, your breath, the feeling of your feet, a word. Come back to it every time you catch yourself gone, and keep coming back. That is the whole thing.
  2. In your next conversation, keep one small part of your attention on yourself while you listen. Stay home while you are with them.
  3. When something goes wrong and your body wants to take over, the jaw, the stomach, the racing chest, put your attention back in your head and breathe once before you speak. Let the top of the house answer, not the panic.

Who ran my house today, and who do I want running it tomorrow?

The ruling part of you is a citadel. Keep it in order and nothing that happens in the outer rooms can overthrow the house.

Buddhism · the Satipatthana

The practice is to keep awareness established, continuous, through sitting, walking, eating, lying down. What rules is whatever you keep attention on.
