Hebrews 4:9 · World English Bible
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
There is a rest that remains, always, no matter how turbulent your life becomes. It does not come and go with circumstances, because it is not produced by circumstances.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.
The same verse, read by 2 traditions.

EGO & BEING
There is a rest that remains, always, no matter how turbulent your life becomes. It does not come and go with circumstances, because it is not produced by circumstances. It is the deep stillness of Being that is present beneath the movement of your thoughts and the changing conditions of your life.
Because it remains, you can never truly lose it, only lose sight of it when you are absorbed in thinking and doing. It waits beneath everything, unchanged. To find it you do not create anything new; you simply become still enough to notice what was here all along, the peace that circumstances can neither give you nor take away.

BUDDHISM
Yogakkhema: Rest from the yoke
One of the oldest names for the goal, safety after long labor. Picture the ox unhitched at the end of the day: the harness comes off and the weight stops pressing on the shoulders. Sabbath here is not one day pried loose from seven, it is the end of the hauling itself, still standing open for anyone whose feet are on the wilderness road.
Vossagga: Letting go
Release of the grip, the hand opening. Rest comes to whoever stops working at it, as God ceased on the seventh day and as anyone already inside rests from their own labors. Effort that grabs at rest holds it off, since the grabbing is more work.
Passaddhi: Tranquility
A settling of body and mind, counted among the factors of awakening. It arrives well before the full Sabbath, small and repeatable, the way a walker sits down in shade long before evening. Each hour of it is the promised rest tasted early, and the taste is what makes the promise believable.
Nibbāna: Unbinding
A fire going out for want of fuel. Rest of that kind cannot be broken into again, which is why it remains instead of expiring the way the desert generation's chance expired. Cooling is the old word for it: a Sabbath with no next workday waiting on the other side.
Saddhā: Confidence
Trust leaning toward what the eye has not yet reached. Those who fell in the sand failed to enter because they would not credit the report of the land ahead; the rest was there and they turned from it. Something is still left over, so walking toward it is the sane response, and the walking is what trust looks like on a road whose end stays out of sight.
Ego v. Being lens
What stayed steady in you today, even when everything else moved?
The one established in stillness is not shaken by gain or loss, praise or blame. The weather changes, the sky does not.
You can withdraw into yourself at any hour. There is a quiet inside you that no circumstance can reach.
Return to the root and you find stillness. It was never produced, so it cannot be taken.
