Hebrews 9:5 · World English Bible
and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we can’t speak now in detail.
The mercyseat is the seat of the higher consciousness inside the skull, the still center where the divine awareness rests, and the cherubim spreading their wings over it are the 2 lobes or the paired energies that guard and cover that inner throne. The whole picture is the head of a person, the innermost chamber of the body-temple where the most refined awareness dwells beneath its winged cover.

ESOTERIC
The mercyseat is the seat of the higher consciousness inside the skull, the still center where the divine awareness rests, and the cherubim spreading their wings over it are the 2 lobes or the paired energies that guard and cover that inner throne. The whole picture is the head of a person, the innermost chamber of the body-temple where the most refined awareness dwells beneath its winged cover. What the old worship placed inside a golden box is the crowning point of consciousness carried in every skull.
The writer holds back from speaking of it particularly because this center is reached in silence rather than in words, and description falls away as one approaches it. The mercyseat is the quiet summit of awareness that words can point toward but not enter.
Cherubim: the paired guardian energies, the 2 lobes that spread over and cover the highest center of consciousness. Mercyseat: the seat of the higher awareness within the skull, the still center where the divine self rests.

What in me goes quiet the moment I try to explain it?
Those who know do not talk about it, and those who talk do not know. The deepest thing is held, not explained.
A finger can point at the moon, but you have to stop looking at the finger. The teaching exists to be left behind at the door.
The Buddha stayed silent on certain questions, not because he lacked an answer but because an answer would have become a thing to argue about instead of something to reach.
