Hebrews 9:9 · World English Bible
This is a symbol of the present age, where gifts and sacrifices are offered that are incapable, concerning the conscience, of making the worshiper perfect,
The outer tabernacle is the outer holy place of the head, the first chamber of the brain beneath its covering membrane, where the earlier order of service is performed. Gifts and sacrifices carried out there are the external rites of religion, and they reach only that outer court; they cannot touch the seat of true inner knowing, because that seat lies deeper, in the inner sanctuary of the head that no outward offering can enter.

ESOTERIC
The outer tabernacle is the outer holy place of the head, the first chamber of the brain beneath its covering membrane, where the earlier order of service is performed. Gifts and sacrifices carried out there are the external rites of religion, and they reach only that outer court; they cannot touch the seat of true inner knowing, because that seat lies deeper, in the inner sanctuary of the head that no outward offering can enter.
This is why the outer work leaves a person unfinished. The rites belong to the first stage, the ceremony worked at the surface of the head, while real completion waits in the inner chamber where thought itself grows quiet. Conscience is that inner knowing, and it is made whole only when the work moves inward, past the outer court, into the deep place of the brain.
Tabernacle: the outer holy place of the head, the first chamber of the brain beneath its covering membrane, where external rites are performed Gifts and sacrifices: the outward rites of religion, offered at the surface and unable to reach the inner chamber

Where am I doing everything right on the outside and nothing has changed underneath?
He mocked the man who kept the forms of goodness perfectly and stayed hollow inside. The ritual can be flawless while nothing has moved in the person performing it.
She is remembered for saying that if you worship out of fear of punishment or hope of reward, you are not yet there. The outer act is the same; the inside decides whether it is worth anything.
He reminded himself that no amount of correct conduct helps if the ruling part of the mind is still disordered. The work has to reach the place where judgments are made.
