but he will judge the poor with righteousness, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

Ego v. Being

There is a way of seeing that owes nothing to opinion. When you are truly present, you no longer judge others through the filter of your own fear and wanting. You see what is, and this clear seeing is what righteousness means. The poor and the meek, those the world overlooks, are seen at last for who they are.

The wicked are undone not by a sword but by breath and word. Unconsciousness cannot survive in the light of awareness. You need not attack what is false in yourself or the world. You bring the stillness of presence to it, and in that light, what was false loses its power and falls away.

Live Isaiah 11:4 today

  1. Pick one person you have already decided about, a coworker, a neighbor, a relative, and spend five minutes with them today without running your usual story. Watch what you see that the story was covering.
  2. In a group chat where everyone is piling onto someone, stay quiet, and keep seeing the person clearly instead of the version being built. You do not have to announce it.
  3. When you catch something small and false in yourself today, an exaggeration, a bit of posturing, do not scold yourself. Just see it plainly, and watch how little it survives being seen.

Who are you seeing through your fear rather than seeing as they are?
