Truth arrives in a mind that will not open as mere fragments stacked without meaning, rule laid on rule, line laid on line, a little here and a little there. To the awakened self these pieces join into one living pattern, but to the self still ruled by the letter they stay broken bits that trip it. The word becomes a snare not because it is a trap but because a divided mind cannot bear its wholeness and stumbles backward on the very truth meant to raise it. The higher meaning offered piecemeal to a lower understanding turns to a stumbling, so that what should have lifted a person instead breaks him where he stands.
Snare: the living truth that becomes a trap to the divided mind, catching the self that grasps only its fragments.
Line upon line: the higher pattern given piece by piece, whole to the awakened self and mere broken bits to the letter-bound one.
